Autobiographical. William passed out from a hormonal imbalance, and woke up in the hospital with a broken hip and hands (which never really healed properly). But absolutely ANYTHING... good, bad, or indifferent... made its way into a notebook of lyrics. And he didn't wait to 'process' his feelings. He wrote this particular song WITH BROKEN HANDS. The place names here are in Columbia, SC. It's the path from his house to the hospital.
